It happened Friday night just after , according to St. Pete police.
Police said the 11-year-old girl and another child were riding scooters on 58th Avenue Northeast, just east of 1st Street North when the girl attempted to cross 1st street north, but only looked to the south prior to leaving the safety of the east curb line.
