Deputies search for two suspects after armed robbery

TAMPA, Fla. (970 WFLA) -- Hillsborough County Sheriff’s detectives said they are investigating an armed robbery that happened at the International Diamond Center located at 10330 Dale Mabry North in Tampa at 4:50 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2013.

Deputies said the suspects entered the International Diamond Center and suspect #1 was armed with a 9mm handgun and ordered the employees to the ground.

Meanwhile, deputies said suspect #2 used a mini sledge hammer to break the glass and remove several Rolex watches and diamonds. Then, deputies said suspect #1 fired his 9mm handgun one time just prior to fleeing the business.

Deputies said the bullet struck the ground and ricocheted through an office window. Suspect #1 also took the wallet of one of the employees, according to HCSO.

Deputies said no one was injured.

The suspects fled in the described vehicle below according to the sheriff’s office. 

Then, deputies said at 6:03 p.m. the victim/employee's credit card was used at a 7-11 gas pump located at 12902 Newsome Road in Dover, Fl.

Sheriff’s deputies released the following descriptions;

Suspect #1:

black male, 5'10", 240 lbs., mid/late 30's.

last seen wearing a black baseball cap (possibly Philadelphia Eagles), green, long sleeve knit sweater, blue jeans and large sunglasses.

Suspect #2:

hispanic male (or light skinned black male) 6', 200 lbs, mid/late 30's.

last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, black hoodie with a large logo on front, black pants and black gloves.

Vehicle:

black older model Volkswagon Jetta

Deputies said anyone with any information reference the suspects is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 247-8200 and if you wish to remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward; you can call crime stoppers of Tampa Bay at 1-800-873-8477.
