Dunedin sinkhole brings back memories for Seffner family

TAMPA, Fla. (970 WFLA) -- The Dunedin sinkhole is certainly bringing back bad memories for another Bay area family.

Janell Wicker-Wheeler was in her home in Seffner back in February when a sinkhole opened up in a bedroom.

She told News Radio 970 WFLA's AM Tampa Bay what that moment felt like.

“Terror, fear, fear of the unknown. Because you don’t know what’s going on. You don’t know if we’re all going to get out of this home or what,” Wicker-Wheeler said.

Wicker-Wheeler’s nephew Jeffrey Bush died that night.

The sinkhole opened up directly under where he was sleeping.
