PCSO: Lakeland man arrested for two counts capital sexual battery

LAKELAND, Fla. (970 WFLA) – Polk County Sheriff’s Office officials say deputies arrested 40-year-old Benjamin Cuadrado for two counts capital sexual battery on a child under 12 years of age on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, based on investigative information received by the Department of Homeland Security Investigations (HIS).

According to the affidavit, HSI agents contacted PCSO in reference to an investigation they were conducting into the production and transmission of child pornography, deputies said, where HSI agents recovered six videos - four originals, and two duplicates - depicting an infant male being sexually abused by an adult male suspect, according to PCSO.

After extensive investigation, PCSO said the adult male suspect was positively identified as Cuadrado of Lakeland.

PCSO detectives took Cuadrado into custody at his home without incident, deputies said, and post-miranda, deputies said Cuadrado admitted to sexually abusing the two victims, ages two years old and 13 months old, and to videotaping it, PCSO said.

Further charges are pending the outcome of the HSI child pornography investigation and the PCSO sexual battery investigation, deputies said.
