Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne will be hitting up record stores in the heart of the country this week. He's set to kick off a "Record Store Tour" on Thursday in Nashville, where he'll be selling limited-edition reissues of some of the band's earliest releases.
The Flaming Lips 2nd Cassette Demo, originally released in 1983, comes on blue seven-inch vinyl signed by Coyne, while 1984's The Flaming Lips 1st EP will be available in a solid chocolate skull.
Coyne tells "Rolling Stone" that the "anatomically correct and life-sized" gourmet package also contains a "golden coin" that will get the owner into any headlining Flaming Lips concert.
Anyone who can't make it one of Coyne's "Record Store Tour" stops can look for both the "1st EP" and the "2nd Cassette Demo" at select record stores starting December 24th.
Wayne Coyne's "Record Store Tour" dates:
December 19 - Grimey's, Nashville, TN
December 20 - Guestroom Records, Louisville, KY
December 20 - Permanent Records, Chicago, IL
December 21 - Vintage Vinyl, St. Louis, MO
December 22 - Love Garden Sounds, Lawrence, KS
